Easter is nearly here, spring is on it's way and (hopefully) the weather is starting to get a bit warmer. There are lots of special events planned all over the UK for the school Easter holidays and for the Easter weekend 2018.

Worcestershire's CountryTastic Festival is a festival just for kids to help them discover the countryside. Held on Thursday 5th April 2018 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern it includes appearances from Adam Henson and a chance to meet all your favourite farmyard animals. Tickets must be booked in advance from their website.

Go on an Egg Hunt this Easter with the National Trust Easter Egg Hunts which are back for 2018. 250 National Trust properties all over the UK will be hosting Easter Egg Hunts with chocolate eggs as prizes.
Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc is a revolutionary world-first inland surf lagoon in the heart of beautiful North Wales, set against a backdrop of the forests and mountains of Snowdonia. The lagoon opens for the new season on 24th March 2018, just in tme for Easter.
Learn to surf or have a go at the water assault course. You can hire boards and wetsuits.
Easter Pantos have been growing in popularity over the last few years, and now there are several professional productions touring the UK this Easter.

This Easter you can have an undersea adventure this half term at Sealife. Every Sealife centre opens a window into the magical world beneath our seas and offers close encounters for all ages with everything from humble shrimps and starfish to seahorses, sharks and stingrays. There are centres all across the UK.

The 30th Edinburgh International Science Festival runs from 31 March - 15 April 2018 and this year's theme is Life, the Universe and Everything, contemplating and celebrating the wonder and diversity of life in all its forms, on Earth and beyond, asking where we have come from, where we are going and how science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) can help us sustain our planet for future generations.
For families there are lots of hands-on science events and workshops. Some are free, some have a small charge (see what I did there!)
