Elmer Day is celebrated in the last week in May each year. It was inspired by the Elmer books written and illustrated by British author David McKee.

The books tell the story of Elmer, a patchwork elephant and shows how you can be yourself, even if you are different from those around you. Elmer Day is all about celebrating diversity and acceptance, and inspiring children to read, enjoy books and visit their local libraries.

This wordsearch is all about Elmer as well as some more of the popular characters created by David McKee.
