Remembrance Day is a day each year when we remember those who gave their lives in war or conflict. It is held on the 11th November, which was the date of Armistice Day at the end of the First World War.
The Sunday closest to 11th November is known as Remembrance Sunday, and in the UK church services are held to mark the day, along with parades, the laying of poppy wreaths at war memorials and often a bugler will play the last post.
