Stranger Things is an American television series shown on Netflix which has become a worldwide phenomena since the first season was broadcast in 2016.
Set in the 1980s, Stranger Things tells the story of the residents of Hawkins, Indiana. After a mysterious young girl, Eleven - who has psychokinetic abilities - opens a gateway between Earth and a hostile alternate dimension known as the Upside Down at a nearby human experimentation facility.
The series was a hit almost immediately and five further seasons were made with the fifth and final season released in November 2025.
